it reminded me of him in South Riding, which is extraordinarily bleak

Then he rolled into Walking Dead, and yep, he's a miserable bad guy

There's a lot more to his acting than that.

If you can find Thorne, it's absolutely brilliant. You'll wonder why Luther got so much credit :)
