Falkland Islanders were nick-named "Bennies" by squaddies down there.....as in Benny from Cross Roads.

Quite rightly some took offence and a military instruction went out forbidding squaddies to call the locals "Bennies".

The locals are now known as "Stills", as in "Still Bennies!".
