I bought a Citroen Picasso for ?999 from Swainsthorpe Motor Company

it had done 168,000 miles. It's now done 175,000 and I haven't spent a penny on it - absolute bargain for big diesel runabout.

Pot luck though - could have died after a week. Could die tomorrow.
