I eventually managed to get a small one signed off a few years back.

They are great, NOTHING is as nice as homemade chips.
As a man i've had great fun testing which spuds to use, different oils, different cooking techniques (bit of blanching first, a double fry method etc).

Can smell a bit so the room needs to be well ventilated when cooking. Clean up of ours is easy, most drain the oil pretty well.
