Part of the joy of football is the twists and turns...

the games like the Middlesborough 4-4 and the Derby 3-2, the Newcastle 2-1 (Ashton last minute). Without those turns in those games where things looked to be going awry we would not have the joyful memories that came after. Routine 2-0 wins are all well and good but the games that stick in the memory are those with multiple twists - and for that sometimes we need to be behind.
Which is why I love football and our team, and why I seldom get bedwetty when we go a goal, or two, behind - because on an emotional level a point, or three gained from an apparent irretrievable position is so much more enjoyable.
If you're going to get all miserablist everytime we go behind you're kind of missing the point of it all.
Even defeats can be rewarding emotionally - 3-4 Man City and 3-4 Gillingham for example - where the almost comebacks were exciting and entertaining.
