What are peoples general expectations in January over signings?

I mean if we got 7 mill for ashton and it whittled down to ?2million available, would the likes of

Eastwood
Perch (forest)
Trundle
Ryan Taylor (loan)
Sodje

Be the way forward, or would we prefer not taking the risks on maybe players and get more well known

Perch would be the first signing I'd be after, brilliant prospect at forest, and as they aren't flush in the money department, we could nab him
