Had a similar problem after my previous fish tank cracked...
and deposited over half the tanks water (about 70 litres) on the lounge carpet.
We tried it out as much as we could with a dehumidifier and claimed on the house insurance. because we were insured for accidental damage, they allowed the claim, paid to replace the floor covering (we changed the carpet for wooden flooring while we were at it) and paid for a new fish tank.
Unfortunately, it didn't smell of damp (although the carpet was still damp) when the assessor called, so Mrs Kirrie left a bit of old cheese down the back of the radiator which did the trick!
Short answer is you've paid for accidental damage cover, your claim will be allowed IMO.
