If there's no demand, why sell him?

I would suggest he's worth way more to us if we could have got him on form this season than the measly ?1m that we've received from Cardiff, even if we ran the risk of letting his contract lapse. There is also the significant opportunity cost that he will contribute to Cardiff taking one of the promotion spots that we're after.
