There doesn't seem to be a massive amount of difference. The obvious difference is that one of them has a swiveling screen. I would say, don't consider this very much of an advantage. I've got the same on my Canon Eos 600D, and it's a bit gimmicky really.

If you want to make the most of having a DSLR you really ought to learn to shoot with the viewfinder, not the live view on the screen. It might be of more use if you want to use it to shoot video, I suppose.
