I agree with you about social history. It's so important not to forget our stories.
(Luckily I have kept some of my teenage diaries so history will not be deprived on my profound insights. For example: Wednesday 31st May 1978 ' ... Bob Geldof was in Jackie mentioning his sister and Boney M are still number one. I cooked tea (chips) and was too fed up to do much work. It wasn't that sunny and it rained all day. I've gone brown on my arm 'cept where my watch was and my t shirt ended).
