Surely we should all along have been aiming for promotion this season, having Ashton and all? Sounds really stupid, because this way we lose Ashton.

And if a bid has been accepting and the deal is already done, the club should announce it now. We're nearing the end of December. And surely Ashton will transfer on the 1st January.

If everything you say is true, then the whole club has gone stupid.
