"They make *fake* dog poop?"
I have to confess I haven't seen Jarrett. Soz, I'm a part-timer.
yes, Hughes is worse than the others you mentioned IMHO. Whereas they and many others either didn't know which pass to make or couldn't pass at all, Hughes has that special ability to pick the wrong ball AND misplay it. In addition, when we have possession he can be trusted to charge off in the wrong direction. When the oppo have it, he will cover the wrong areas.
If we MUST play him, stick him on the right wing and tell him not to move more than 10 feet from it. His energy will be put to some use there. Wouldn't be such a bad thing, thinking about it. I've long thought that Worthy's refusal to buy a right-winger stems from his reluctance to have TWO wide players divorced from a game by a canny opposing manager: well, if that be the case, stick Hughes on one flank and tell him to kick anything that comes near, ball or opponent.
He'd hold up that side, create an option for a midfielder with the ball and besides - we're used to creating very little from that area. Bonus.

- Inclined to agree with you about Hughes (although I didn't make the win over Luton) (NCFC) - Ottosson Foxtrot, Dec 11, 12:26:20

- Agreed - at least he was free, though. And we may even shift him to Plymouth ... (n/m) (NCFC) - Ottosson Foxtrot, Dec 11, 12:28:06

- Yes, but we've taken some batterings with Hooze in the side, too. (NCFC) - Ottosson Foxtrot, Dec 11, 12:23:35
