Going into a gaff riddled with overpaid bottlers clearly isn't the same as getting a squad of journeymen lower-leaguers playing out their skins week in week out, cannot believe what a fist he's made of things. And the money he's had has been wasted epically on dross, with the exception of Benteke, who now seems to have stopped trying/perma-injured after getting his mega payrise deal after his great debut season.

I was sure Lambert would now be in the frame for much bigger jobs, Newcastle for example, but like you say I reckon he might have to dip down a bit and come back all guns blazing. Or suck it up and go to Celtic and get some easy precious metal in the cabinets.
