Appointing him for the challenge we now face would be a joke. Just go and get Malky FFS. But it's not just about the manager; it's about the board. The whole club has gone desperately stale and is very, very tired. We need new investment (God knows where from) and new ideas.

Delia Smith is 72 now. She can't go on forever. So what's the plan here?
