Depending on how you look at it, we were effectively relegated after West Brom or, at the latest, after Fulham. Now we're debt free, should - all things being equal - be much better placed than Cardiff or Fulham to come back up - and especially if Derby win the play-offs, there should be nothing to scare us down there. Nothing at all.

But one message to our beloved board. With or (as I strongly anticipate) without McNally, you have a big decision ahead of you - and we all know you don't like those. So for God's sake: do your research, get the advice of people involved in top level football now, and then MAKE THE DECISION.

And once you've chosen your man, back him. Don't dither; don't hedge your bets. Back him (both morally and financially) or, if you start doubting him at a later point, sack him. The only thing worse than backing the wrong man or sacking someone at a stupid time is, for months and months and months and months, doing nothing at all. Please please PLEASE learn this lesson once and for all.

Long live Norwich City FC and all who sail in her. Championship here we come!
