It's actually utterly laughable; utterly contemptible

for people to be having a go at Adams.

Hughton and his coaching staff are entirely responsible for the make-up and confidence of that squad. Strikers who can't score and only one, maybe two defenders you can actually rely on.

Adams had an utterly impossible job yesterday trying somehow to create the conditions in which a win at the home of Champions League semi-finalists was possible. And he actually f**king did it.

He created the conditions in which we nearly won, in which a group of players so bereft of confidence were able to go toe to toe with Chelsea.

He pretty much performed that miracle and changes which saw Redmond up top were utterly refreshing and thoughtful. A world away from Hughton's football of fear.

Hughton relegated us. 100%. And Adams is just trying to pick his way through the wreckage. Hughton crashed the plane and people are actually trying to blame the first ambulance on the scene.

Contemptible.
