The calibre of opposition was a mitigating feature, and we have lost by bigger margins. For me, the defeats at Fulham in the cup and to west brom were worse. Aston villa was pretty disgraceful too. Fulham at home. That was an absolutely disgusting display. Hughton could well have gone immediately after that one. While the transfer window was open.
