The son of one of the Directors

is saying quite openly at his workplace this week (as if told to do so) that the Board debated quite seriously at the turn of the year whether to keep Hughton. The vote was 3:3 (don't know who was missing) so the casting vote went to the majority shareholder. Those voting in favour of keeping him did so because there didn't appear to be anyone better available and therefore keeping him was less of a risk.
