First choice XI in promotion season (roughly)

Edworthy Fleming Mackay Drury

McVeigh Holt Francis

McKenzie Svensson Huckerby

First choice now (maybe?)

Hughes Etuhu Safri Huckerby

Ashton McKenzie

I would have Mackay over both our current centre backs and Hughes, Etuhu and Safri probably wouldnt get in the team that won promotion (Holt was pretty strong in that role). Also, i really think Matt Svensson was underrated and on Ashton's current form we miss him. As for the players in BOTH teams, Drury and Huckerby are nowhere near the player's they both were 2 years ago, Green's form isnt as good and McKenzie has been injured all season - forcing us to play Hucks/Lisbie/Thorne/Henderson/Jarvis/McVeigh up front.
Whilst people have been saying we have great team and should be up there in the playoff zone at least i think our team of two years ago was much better and more balanced.
