Isn't it the point though

that Giggs learned his lesson and the likes of Sharpe, Gillespie etc didn't?

People like Carlos Queroz say that Giggs is one of the most dedicated and professional footballers they've ever known.

He'd kind of have to be to be playing Premier League football at 40.

Also, that Mail piece sounds like he was trying to be a peace maker rather than a devisive influence. Trying to help the manager make the best decision for the squad etc.

It's also (actually) a remarkably thin piece, information-wise.
