No. But nationality is slightly more nuanced than species.

If a person is born somewhere, grows up there, and lives and works their entire life there, then I think there's a sense in which that may be their nationality. Whichever national football team they represent.

But am sure one could have a big argument about this if one so chose. Which would be very boring.
