On what basis does he deserve a chance?

Because he once played for us?
He hasn't managed a single first team game, we've appointed him now because we don't have to pay anybody compo for their manager.
I've got to say I seem to be the only person not over the moon by all this, this all seems a bit like change for changes sake. I felt much the same way when gunn took over and that didn't end well.
Just because he played for us does not mean he's automatically the best man for the job,far from it.
I like neyull and I don't want to feel the way I felt about gunny when that went tits up.
If I'm really truthful I'd rather he was back on canary call and commentating than managing our club. Sorry
