Though it's dated Oct 2013 and is an idealistic and rather simplistic view on progression at best, which Bowkett admits as much in that piece. Yeah 10th would be an improvement on 11th as that was on 12th but Bowkett knows full well that things just don't and obviously can't happen like that for every club. Fortunes and league postions waver as there are other similar sized clubs competing alongside you. So he's not gonna sack him if we don't make 10th (which we won't). It's just the press pressing for a headline piece. Which people can now use to hang Hughton over. Not gonna happen, sorry. The dismissal I mean, not the hanging, obviously!
