there is a reason players get paid more thanmanagers

a manager can come up with the most brilliant tactical approach ever devised but if his players fail to pass to teammates, can't stick the ball in the net when the chanc arises or make schoolboy defensive errors his team will still lose.

Conversely, you can have sh*t tactics but if your players pass the ball well and shoot accurately you will still probably win.

Players' actual individual performances have way more influence over results than any manager can dream of.
