The Notts Forest manager situation might explain why we never pulled the trigger on Hoots
Some of these we're mentioned as viable contenders if he Hoots did get the sack, but seems like there not currently available;
"Mackay has an impending court case with Cardiff owner Vincent Tan and he is unlikely to take over as a result of that.
"Forest have been frustrated with some other targets too because of issues with gardening leave. Clarke has been contacted but he is on gardening leave with West Brom, which makes things difficult, and likewise with Di Matteo.
