Scoring goals

Interesting discussion below about what we need. Most seem to say just a goal scorer who can bag 10+ per season. I agree, but I've just had a gander at the prem top scorers chart.

Once you strip out the big club players who cost 20m+, there aren't many in it who you look at and say we would have had an earthly of signing. Probably only Ricky Lambert and Bony. Maybe.

Which isnt to say that finding such a beast shouldn't be our objective, but we have to acknowledge everyone is looking for those players too and we don't have the budget to compete for the sure fire winners.

We're therfore looking for the cheaper chicken. Hopefully they adjust well and we unearth a diamond. But there's no sure fire thing with players in that bracket. If they were sure fire things, they'd be joining the top 6 for 25m

Bit of a ramble I know. Not sure what my point was now! But by god I wish wolf had just banged in one of those two chances yesterday!
