Lambert has had to reduce a bloated wage bill since he got there. He has not had an excessive amount to spend, and inherited a team that was 10 points worse than norwich.

Villa are a big club based on history, but certainly since he got there they are not a big club financially.

Not really sure why he went there if he knew the circumstances.

If we stay up then it is hard to judge hughton harshly, since he will have done his job. I do think that the standard in the bottom half is pretty poor though
