re your cherry tree, you could try poles, nets and mushrooms?
as in camouflage; poles, nets and mushrooms from an army surplus store. basically the "mushrooms" are wire "spreaders" that fit on the end of cam poles and these are rammed up against the (pegged out) camnet to create this sort of doo dah User Posted Link
might be cheaper than making a frame (try ebay) and can be all packed away nice and tidy. or, save your money and buy some cherries from a supermarket.
