But we didn't, and are now one place lower than a week ago, and no further ahead of the bottom 3.

Seems quite a Pyrrhic thing to celebrate on that basis. All sorts of little things wound me up about the reaction afterwards: great to see a committed team performance, but that should actually be a minimum expectation.
