Ciani will come in and do what? Best of persisting with Bennett and Bassong, but yeah it will be good to have some backup.

Whelan will come in and do what? Be better than BJ? Problem is, we don't really want BJ playing. You're right, we (and especially Fer) looks better with Tettey on the pitch. The problem is the other 6 mids/forwards! Fitting them in and having it working is where we've struggled all season. If we go 4-3-3 with wingers alongside Wolf/Hooper then that striker gets totally isolated and we rely on Howson hitting a poor clearance. 4-4-2 and we get overrun.
