BT boffins just invented the fastest internets ever

50 fillums per second. Or one 5 month long bongo film per second. (In a test between London and Ipswich).

It's going to be at least 9 years before we notice any difference though.

I wish they'd invent something that meant it didn't take three hours to download 30mins worth of tv off of the iplayer
