Worked hard, got tired....
He doesn't have much pace at all, but he is strong. At one point he managed to flick the ball over the defenders head but he couldn't run past him. He did, though, manage to keep pushing til the defender was out the way, turn, shield and lay the ball off. He's that type of player.
He drifted lots, and at times was even linking up with Snodgrass on the right, which I think was really good because we've missed fluidity in midfield - he wasn't irresponsible with his positioning.
He also had a nice pass on him, turning back and spreading across the pitch to open up the midfield.
Didn't put in much if anything in the way of crosses though
