Cycled from London, through Surrey to box Hill today
Beautiful day, some lovely scenery in Surrey. Box Hill, stunning, but was knackered before the ascent, which possibly ruined my enjoyment of it. Would love to have a stab when fresh. Massively relieved there was a caf? to refuel and rest, gave me enough to get back to London. Anyway, getting to my point, cycling is frigging hard work. Having watched the Olympic route I have a new appreciation of guys who make it look easy, must require incredible dedication (or drugs). Need to work on some resistance training to improve my climbs, time to bust out the turbo.
