This Wes situation is a bit like drawing at Palace after losing to Fulham

If we had beaten Fulham then our other Christmas results wouldn't have felt quite as bad. However that defeat gave the outers (rightly or wrongly) a fresh lease of life.

Same with Wes. His mooted departure feels like the wrong move because we are not playing very well at the moment and many feel as if he is the answer.

If we were doing better, it wouldn't feel like such a big deal.
