good point. Bennett in, otherwise unchanged. I really hope I'm wrong

but this refusal to mix things up, to try and do something different is my biggest beef with Hoots, and it's why I posted the Would We Beat Luton Next Time question a wee while ago. It's why the Lambert times were great: just like back in Bond's day, we;d await news of the line-up and then try and guess what he was going to do with it - and so did oppo managers.

Nowadays, we know the wingers will spend most of the time on the wrong side, despite that it's created (I think) one goal in 18 months. There are other immutable rules that I'm too depressed to list, too. OK I think yesterday's result was more down to the players than to Hoots but the general trend is unmissable: we're entirely predictable. The devil has gone out of our game. That's why people are talking about not renewing season tickets. We know what we're going to see, and it's not interesting to watch. Still: it's A LOT better than last season.
