Atletico finished in the bottom half in 1993-94 so not exactly right up there at the time were they?
The point I was making was that any manager with that kind of profile, particularly with a small club, is going to attract the interest of big clubs around Europe.
So my initial 'lol' was at the suggestion that a link, at the time, with Atletico should be considered 'bizarre'.
