would recommend the following

nexus 7 2012 - budget option, may be able to pick up close to ?100 now and is still great

nexus 7 2013 - amazing for the price and stands out in its class of 7" tablets

tesco hudl - seems a competent device, though not stellar in any means. Very recommended if you have tesco points you can double up on it effectively bringing it as low as ?60.

the advent vegra tegra note - seems a decent option that has had a few good reviews, slightly cheaper than the 2013 nexus and has ?20 cashback available atm
