Confidence is a preference..

.. blurgh.. if only we can start to score more in the first half of games. Would take the pressure right off of us. Out of the NINE goals we've scored in the Prem so far this season, only one has been in the first half... Jonny's 34th minute cracker against Stoke.

Interesting to note when we're scoring the majority of our second half goals too. Here are the goal times in ascending order... 34, 51, 54, 68, 68, 70, 71, 72, 92.

Two thirds of the goals are in the final quarter of the match. Over half have been scored in just a four minute period. No wonder the crowd get twitchy and the players get nervous.

Confidence after the pen yesterday was so apparent, in the same we looked very confident against Stoke. If we can find the back of the net more often in the first half, then another comfortable mid-table finish beckons.
