I agree with this

The attacking players we have either side of the lone striker (Pilks/Snoddy for instance) don't score enough to compensate for the lack of a second striker.

We really need to find a way to get a goalscorer into a 'non-striker' position (like Podolski for Arsenal for instance) because I don't think any of the midfielders we are playing at the moment will ever score enough (Pilks is the most likely but he seems to be injured half the season).
