At the end of the day, if you're a quarter of the way into the season and you've not made the most of the money you've been allowed to spend, it's time for a change before it's too late.
Last season, it was because the squad wasn't good enough and he was doing his best with what he had. This season, it's because they haven't had time to gel. You can only get by on excuses for so long. Yes, there have been a handful of performances but it's results that keep you up - it's not the defeats against the top teams that are the concern, it's the cautious approach to, and inevitably the inability to beat, the teams around us.
