If we do get rid of Hughton (not that I'm for it)

Then we need to have a replacement lined up straight away 1. Because the fixtures coming up are winnable and 2. Because the only people who are going to take over are Calderwood and Trollope. They are both Hughton's men, they are hardly going to be good cover for their boss and they are likely to move on with him when the new man comes in. Could go for Adams I guess but I don't think we would.
