I keep hearing this theory that the Hooper sub was because he was tired...
I didn't see it that way. He looked like he had bags more to give. What he needed was crosses at pace into the box. We got that from Redmond pretty immediately with pace going past defenders and looking for the pass or shot unlike Snoddy who kept cutting inside and delivering the passes too late scuffing the shot or falling over. (I am not criticising his commitment First half I agree he was doing much better than previous games) Elmander did nothing of note for me. Jury is still very much out on him. That is the reason for the boo boys. In my heart of hearts I don't want Hughton out and I don't believe the majority do either. However, if he keeps making subs that do not change the game positively the sound of the boos will grow whether you agree with it or not. Simple fact is it is one for the few ways fans can in real time express how they feel and they know it is being registered by the reaction in interviews and Twitter etc after that they hear it.
I want Hughton IN but I also want a decent striking coach on board asap to avoid these 15min discussions around the iPad when things need urgent changes. I heard an interview with Bergkamp recently making noises about coaching in the UK. Someone like that would be great. I can only dream........
