MORE INFO: They had asked me to help get them some work

though my contacts and they offered to pay me a certain amount for each freelance job I got for them.

I got them 2 great jobs worth an awful lot of money (nearlly all profit to them). I even negotiated the contracts for them (so I know how much they received and how much I should get) For the first job, I was eventually paid half of what I was due. I haven't received anything from the second job.

I said that I could get them some more work but I needed to be paid what I was owed so far.

They then said that I was being disrespectful to try to help them get work as it gave the impression that they were not capable of getting it themselves - this is despite them being the ones who had asked me to try to get them some work to help them out.

Now, they are refusing to pay what I am owed and saying that they still want me to pass more jobs to them in the future (but they won't pay me anything for doing so).

I am unsure as to how to resolve the situation.
