Lambert's track record shows two things

One, he is extremely talented

Two, he is a disloyal little weasel only out for himself

McNasty didn't mind the second characteristic when it enabled him to steal PL from Lolchester, but he really hated it when it enabled Villa to steal him from us. PL used us as a steppingstone and left us in a sneaky and underhand way. McNasty isn't the forgiving type, I suspect.
