delighted with the perforamnce yesterday, not just the result,however room for improvement

best midfield combo this season.....fer and tetty looking good on the ball, allowing howson to get forward...pilks looking threatening adds that bit of quality - but KNOWS he's good and sometimes a bit, well, "greedy!" (taking shots from range when he could pass to a player in a better position)....snods not having his best game but still having an impact.....I get annoyed when he falls or dives over, then sits on his arse shrugging his shoulders looking for a foul as play by-passes him....

the midfield pushing forward, allowing the defence to also move forward..... olsson was chuffing brilliant - both defending, blocking, AND getting forward and whipping in some decent crosses (something garrido has failed to do of late)

turner had a grat game - come a long way

bringing elmander on was a good shout though many screaming for hooper - in "that" situation" yesterday, elmander was the man to do a specific job, and he did, well.

room for improvement IMO:
RvW - looks a bit lightweight, pushed off the ball too easily - though he ran his bollocks off and clearly is very much a "team player"..... looks a bit like his confidence could be a bit low - think a couple of goals would help that....

R Martin - thought he had a poor game unusually - distribution was dreadful, lost count of the number of balls he gave away.... we looked better with whittaker imo.

On the whole - we looked better without johnson, garrido and redmond/e bennett - - would like to see hooper fitting in somewhere - - not sure its in place of RvW up front, think he needs to play behind RvW so how do you fit him in??!!
