I think a lot of time on here, there's a element of sheep following going on

One day I might say "you what, I hate it when you're doing something and...."

Then 3-4 trolls jump in. Then suddenly, someone else has the bravery to go "actually, I agree with him, it's really irritating, and round my way it's everywhere ....."

To which you see a ripple of replies going "same here, spot on", then a natural convo sets off

Without the bravery of the 1st reply amongst the trolls, you just have 3-4 trolls sniping, and they get a laugh out of it

Thumbs up and down would actually show them up further, instead of 3-4 s**tty remarks which gives off the theme that everyone agrees. When in reality, people are just not bothering to say so in case they're going to get s**t for not agreeing

It's been like that on here for a long time. Which is why I've said in the past that just because a democracy of numbers side with each other, it doesn't mean it's a valid point, it's just a section of this site kissing each other's arse

I haven't seen the thread you're on, but if people feel brave enough to tell you that you're a dick, knowing their 'connect' is going to back them up every time. Then you just have factions on here who like some element of power or clique (I'd say click, but 4-5 trolls took the piss for me not saying clique, even though you can say both. But that's the nature of this site, the point I was making was overlooked, and the spelling of a word became the exercise in mockery instead)

For me, this is what this site is these days. There are still a lot of people contributing good stuff, and it's worth it to keep coming back to see it. But there's also a high percentage of tossers on here as well. Some of whom think of themselves, as the sensible ones that people keep reading this site for

They're not, they're just too busy handing out virtual flyers for other people to join their little campaign of f**k all
