Hang on. How was Lambert "pushing his luck to the extreme by the end"?

Was no-one on here at either Tottenham or Arsenal?

What Lambert knew, rightly, was that we needed reinforcements; what he'd achieved with what he had was miraculous. Under Hughton, after he changed the whole emphasis of the side (his prerogative, but not something the brilliant Lambert ever thought was necessary), we were good for 10 games... and, er, that's it.

There's a difference between "fading badly after Xmas" and FIVE WINS IN TWENTY-SIX GAMES with a defeat, at home, to a f**king non-league side thrown in; and this season? How was losing away to Hull despite them playing with 10 men for an hour anything other than a stinker? Life with Hughton is like walking a tightrope: his whole approach ensures that we can't afford home defeats to non-contending sides; meaning that defeat has naturally sent us all into a panic. Our horrific run-in is the other reason for that, of course.
