impressive that he's the most experienced opposition leader in ages

And yet so few people see him as Prime Minister material (c.f. the likes of Cameron).

To be fair I think he'd probably make a decent fist of it if he did, by some fluke or machinations of Nick Clegg, become PM (c.f. the likes of Cameron).
