This may transpire, given time, but early impressions suggest it's just more whittling square pegs, which is what he did all last season. It's irritating, because last year he had the excuse that they weren't all his players. Well, now it looks like he's spending big money on players who don't fit his system.
Yes, this is a negative post. I still remain to be convinced that he has any idea of what he's doing. Maybe we should boot him upwards to Director of Football, 'cos ge clearly knows a player when he sees one. Then get a manager in that's a bit more brave.
But, early days in the season, yes.
