A tip that i do...

1. Buy a take-away hot veg curry to save and freeze into several small portions. Then when you want a take-away style curry use one of the small portions as the basis to make your own.

2. I am getting really good at making take-away style curries. What they do is make a curry gravy. This forum is great:
